The Bio-Data Herbal Research Group is the originator of the Brain Response Test that R·Garden uses to test all of their products.  In their research into the body and how it works, they have tested various organs and tissues of the body to see what nutrients could be used to strengthen them.  They found that these organs and tissues could be grouped together into systems, and that what strengthened the system would then strengthen each member of that system.  In working with these over the years they found many hierarchies of systems in toe body.  So that now each of these blends is designed to strengthen literally thousands of tissues in the body.

AMINO ACID SYSTEM - Amino acids are the building blocks that combine with other substances to make proteins. Proteins are one of the main substances of the body. They are an intricate part of our hormones, bones, hair, muscles, brain, immune system, histamine system and all other essential life functions. The Amino Acid System Blend helps the body to more efficiently digest, produce and use amino acids.

Eyes Blend: It is a marvelous "zoom lens" that changes to see a tiny particle of dust or a hundred mile horizon, within microseconds. This lens is not only self-adjusting, but also self-cleaning and self-repairing. When kept in good health, this lens will never wear out. The cost of this marvelous lens? A million dollars couldn't buy it! Yet, it is free to all of us if we will take care of our beautifully designed eyes. What can you do to care for the eyes? Regular exercise does help the muscles and the nerves function correctly and prevents atrophy. TV watching can be harmful. Working in a dusty environment will often cause harm to the delicate eye membrane, therefore protect the eyes from dust. Heart Blend: The hardest working muscle of the whole body, and one of the most vital to life - THE HEART MUSCLE. A sophisticated hydraulic pump that is automatically self-repairing, can rest between each beat, and yet at the same time it can increase twofold its own pumping volume upon demand. The heart muscle and nervous system are affected by both positive and negative emotions. Who hasn't felt the heart leap with joy or feel heavy with sadness. It takes only about 6 seconds for the heart to pump adrenaline released by the adrenal hormone system to the entire body. Histamine Blend: The thymus gland is an organ that excites wonder in today's medical world. Just a few years ago it was considered a vestigial organ or at the best only one that was used for the first few years of life. What does this mighty organ do? It controls a marvel of the created body- the histamine system, a primary defense and healing system of the body. Today this system is little understood. Generally, doctors give people anti- (against) histamine drugs that do nothing to help the mind and body work better. Instead, they are directed at stopping the body from its given course of self-protection and life. Where did the red swelling around that cut come from? As bacteria enter the body through a break in the skin, the histamine system identifies the bacteria, signals the mind and body about what resources it needs to fight the invasion and directs the body to rush extra amounts of red blood cells and lymphatic fluids into the damaged area. The red swelling is the outward sign that the histamine system is at work. Who would dare to stop this life saving reaction, thinking that he knows better? The runny nose of a cold is the histamine system moving out the bacteria, and the sneeze of hay-fever is the system's attempt to rid the body of the offending substance. There are cases when the histamine system overreacts or reacts to harmless substances.  Instead of killing the system, the reasonable avenue of approach would be to identify why the system malfunctioned and give the body the needed foods to build up and correct this malfunctioning. Most commonly, this control problem stems from difficulties in the liver and/or the adrenal gland.

Immune/Fungi Blend: In her book The Scientific Basis for Selected Environmental Medicine Techniques, Dr. Sherry Rogers notes the following about fungi and intestines:
"Healing the gut can halt the vicious cycle of disease. It is well-known that the intestinal flora (plant life such as fungi) can be significantly altered by diet, antibiotics, hormones and other factors. The flora itself is very important for determining the integrity of the intestinal barrier. For example, if abnormal amounts of organisms are present, they can inflame the intestinal lining. The intestines contain hundreds of bacteria and fungi. The purposes are many. Some bacteria help nourish the intestinal lining, some help us manufacture vitamins, but most help to literally rot and break down our food into smaller molecular pieces so that it is easily absorbed. But when antibiotics are taken, as they frequently are in the U.S., they do not kill all the intestinal organisms. Some of the organisms are resistant (like C. Difficile, H. Pylori, C. Albicans). So having had some of their competition annihilated, they grow unencumbered and multiply rapidly. And this overgrowth can inflame the gut and make it hyper permeable. Liver/Gallbladder Blend: The Liver is the chemical factory bar none. Thousand of masterful chemical reactions occur without a polluting smokestack to be found. Too many hormones in the blood stream? The liver goes to work breaking down the excess of hormones. Blood sugar too low? The liver knows how to adjust this, too. Red blood cells are ready to be thrown out? The liver breaks them down and reuses all the parts-ecologically thrifty. Nerve Sheathing Blend: All nerves have a highly specialized covering called Schwann cells. If any of the thousands of miles of nerve lines are lacking sufficient sheathing or insulating cells, then there is some type of "short circuit". One could imagine that this sheathing is similar to the thin coating of plastic on the telephone wires in your home. This lack of sufficient insulation can cause one to have various symptoms as noted below. The focus of this study is to help us understand causes of, and do something about, nerve sheathing difficulties. Prostate Blend: Prostate enlargement and degeneration is a major concern of almost all men past the age of 45! Information contained in The Eclectric Materia Medica Pharmacologia and Therapeutics, indicate that Saw Palmetto Berry acts directly on the enlarged prostate to reduce inflammation, pain and throb. In subhypertrophied cases, it may also reduce the swelling to some degree, but in case of true hypertrophy it is not known whether the herb brings relief by decreasing gland size or by reducing pain and irritation. It also increases the bladder's ability to contract and expel its contents.

Respiratory/Lung Blend:  The respiratory system is a chemical and filtration wonder that modern science can observe and dream about with envy. No man-made product can begin to do the job of this amazing workhorse.  A bag of air, a sack full of almost sponge-like material, that is the lung. If you run hard your "lungs hurt." This is actually not the lungs, but the muscles helping the lungs work. If you smoke toxic substances (or breathe second hand smoke), this delicate sack of air can be permanently harmed. Be aware of your lungs - they were wonderfully made. If you have "fluid in the lungs," this is commonly NOT a lung problem, but it could be a lymphatic difficulty, a kidney filtration problem, a histamine reaction, or an immune system breakdown.
